I was hoping that Mick finally agreed to do a program with Ric Flair, however he was used to introduce the Arab dudes. The Arab dudes were disgusted with America since 9/11 and Iraq War, Foley responding with the "pro-usa" promo. Both seemed passionate, however it's done in poor taste if that has to be used for cheap heat. But, on an interesting note:

"Dave Meltzer is reporting that there was a backstage physical altercation at RAW last night between two legendary figures - Ric Flair and Mick Foley.

As the story goes, Flair reportedly threw a punch at Foley's head before the RAW tapings in Huntsville, Alabama. This happened when Foley refused to shake Flair's hand, and followed that with a comment Flair didn't like about asking for an autographed book. Flair's punch landed, and the two were broken up before anything else happened. Foley wasn't injured from the punch, and decided, as we all saw, to work RAW anyways."

The Arab / 9-11 gimmick just will not end well. There are those who genuinely fear for Mark "Mohammad Hassan" Magnus' safety, and I think that they might have a point.

What I'd love to see, though, is the fans rebel against the WWE's conditioning and start cheering the Arabs as faces.

Love Mick, love the scenes with him and Eugene. Christian is a great heel.

Mick hates the war, hates Bush but loves America, perfect guy to do the spot last night. Didn't understand the Arab backing down, "because he didnt respect Foley". Waaah coward, step on to FOLEY ISLAND!!

Not to sound too critical to the WWE fans, but you're giving them way too much credit to actually think that the masses of fans will get together and cheer a man who says that, in shorter and uneducated words, "America stinks, the war is wrong," where there is a majority of those who don't really think too much into the character especially when you've got Rhyno at house shows saying he'll "get those dirty arabs."

I hate to admit it...

The Arab characters are the first ones who are right.

That's exactly why these characters are not going to go over well by any means. They are TOO REAL.

I fear for the safety of Mark Magnus and his manager.

If something crazy happens to these guys, then it's NOT WWE's fault, it's the asshole's who did the something crazy. If you can't differentiate between reality and wrestling, you belong in jail.

True to an extent, but the WWE is certainly taking this angle into a very risque direction which certainly feeds into a hostile attitude towards these characters. I suppose the distaste I have for them doing that is because they're not doing this angle to challenge the opinions of their audience, but to try and capitalize on 9/11 for cheap heat and publicity.

I really feel bad for "Hassan", seeing as he could really get shit for this, even though he isn't even Arabic.
