Some people LIKE not being totally in love with the other person. You stay in control of yourself, and if things go south, no big loss. The one who's head over heels either scares off the other, or ends up doing all the giving in the relationship. And eventually gets dumped. Keithy, I suggest you keep this going. You dont have anything else going on (do you?) and if nothing else, someone who's had their eye on you might see you with her, think you can do better and approach you for a date. I'm not sure why you feel compelled to proclaim publicly about every tiny detail in your love life, but it's excessive. This board is a community, and a place where people can talk about their lives and other topics they find interesting, but come on! It's not as if there is a single other person on this board has a thread devoted to all aspects of their life. As I've said multiple times (but it has all apparently fallen on deaf ears) -- this is not the Keithy love life board. At a certain point, all of the details of your life are more appropriate in a blog. The people who care can easily go there to find out everything going on in the Keithy adolescent soap opera.

Consider all of this, and consider how necessary it is to keep everyone informed on every detail of your love life, especially since it seems to change on an hourly basis.

People start, or at least started threads about stupid things in their lives all the time here. It's just that this one hasn't taken a turn where everyone is having fun and participating. Someone could start an "I just farted" thread, and if the right jokes took off, the thread would be a hit.

I understand your point, Moe. But this has nothing to do with a thread that didn't turn into a bunch of fun. It's more that Keithy posts constantly about this stuff. It's one girl. He likes her a lot. Then he doesn't like her. Then he likes her again. Then it ends. A few days later, repeat cycle. lather. rinse. repeat. If even a tenth of the people who posted on this board regularly chronicled their lives as fully as Keithy does, this board would be nothing but self-indulgent noise. My point is that at a certain point, it's more appropriate for a blog.

You can argue that it's only one thread, and if you don't want to hear aboutfKeithy's adolescent angst, you can ignore the thread. However, that precedent allows others to do exactly the same thing -- then this place turns to shit (or more to shit, depending on your perspective).

I'm not telling Keithy to stop posting, or to stop posting about his life. Every member of this board in good standing has the right to do that. I'm asking Keithy to think before he posts and realize that certain material probably doesn't belong.

Sometimes, this place IS a chronicle of people's useless lives. I don't know how many "Hit It", "I just got a (fill in the bodily function)", "This chick/guy did (fill in good/bad thing)", "Any Sex Act", "Hey, I'm new" and all other manner of useless threads I've had to sift through on this site, past and present, just to find a threads few of any substance to respond to. It's the way it is.

I don't want to know about people's bodily functions and strange sexual perversions, so I ignore it. It takes up A LOT of this fucking site, but I don't want to see them gone if others are enjoying their little chats. The same should be said for those of us enjoying talking to a young Keithy about his ventures into dating, no matter if they go anywhere or not.

The point is, what if everybody made a huge thread about their love life? A thread that is always being updated, always on the front page, and that is killing the other topics on the board.

Its just now that Keithy started keeping it to one thread, but imagine if 10 other people started doing the same thing. The ENTIRE front page would be nothing but dating material.

She had some vision problems that doctors thought could be MS. It's so hard to diagnose it, but people are now always trying to eliminate the possibility. You can live an entirely normal life, free of attacks, for years before you get on medication.

And Moe I'm sorry. I wasn't asking for advice, just making a roundabout way to the first girl I posted about.
