I wasnt sure whether to post it here or in Entertainment...but I went with this one...

Wow...so many problems with this one...

a) The announcer, while intorducing Kelly Clarkson, some country singer, and Ashlee Simpson, the announcer referred to Ashlee Simpson as a "superstar"...the same word he used to describe Shaq earlier in the night....I really detest that...

b) Very professional to not check the mics if they work or not before going live on national television.

c) Exactly how many 12 year old girls are watching this game, that they have Kelly Clarkson and Simpson, not even the good one, performing at halftime? I mean its one thing to try and a attract a younger audience but how about you try to attract a male audience. Ugh...

And watching Ashlee Simpson perform live is very amusing...especially when she attempts to moan...theres someone that would never be able to get away with fakin an orgasm...

Yeah it was great, the boos rained down when Simpson was finished singing. The announcers stumbled and tried not to refer to it. Understandbly so, I mean these people went there to see FOOTBALL and then instead of having a band, hell even a rapper or something perform at the half...U2 or someone like that...instead they got these teen pop "stars" with poorly working mics singing, very poorly...

Kelly was good, after the mic issue was resolved. They fucked up the intro for the country guy, the dancers were shown standing in position for about ten seconds before the song started and Ashlee's voice just sucks (as does that song). I'm glad they booed her.

i think it is starting to become more of a negative than a positive for these performers careers to do a halftime show like this or at the Super Bowl... the music gets 'ruched' too much and there is too much else going on around their performance(that takes the attention away from them) that they may as well just play the cd instead
