pretty much just got in, took 3 hours with the snow blower, shovels, and a couple brooms

around the house and 3 vehicles, not too bad, got a little exercise

now i'm just preparing myself for the morning and waking up to find the city trucks have just plowed 3 feet of ice onto my driveway and being the fucking guy is driving too fast he's shooting ice and snow back onto my sidewalk

i called the street dept last year and told them to slow down. the guy basically told me there was nothing they could do and i'm sure when we hung up he told me to go fuck myself

Well last wednesday they called for just a dusting and a few flurries and it ended up being 3 to 4 inches. But it goes to show you how much the weatherman really knows.. i'd say i got around 18 or so inches. i live on 515 in Vernon and if you know the area you know its a main route, so those fucking plows come over and over again. the heap at the end of my driveway was at least 3 ft high and full of ice. the rest of the snow was nice and fluffy, so my snowblower plows right through it. at the top of the driveway though i have to shovel, because the dirt/gravel is to much for the snowblower. that part sucks. and whats worse is the plows continue to come by and add a few inches to what i already shoveled...but they do an awesome job with the streets and my ride to work tomorrow will be no problem. overall i was out there for about 3 hours.

the thing i like least are the neighbors on both sides of me pay to have their driveways plowed...its really expensive so i choose not to do it. but it really pains me after being out there for 2 hours busting my ass, their plow guy comes and cleans theirs driveways up in like 5 minutes and i still have more to go. so jealous.

for my area they seemed to do a pretty good job of estimating the snow...at least depending on what channel you checked out. there was one channel yesterday that was 6 inches higher then the others. they said around 14-20 and we got around 18, so thats closer then usual. we didn't get the winds they were thinking last night, but right now its really, really, really(i could add 100 more reallys) cold.

what we had in '93, '95-'95 and i am sure one or two more were BLIZZARDS

in my area we got about a foot... i know in BUCKS COUNTY (which parts are on the delaware across from NJ) they got 14 inches and up)


to me a blizzard would entale days of no school, businesses being closed, etc

i remember once the blizzard of i think '93 started in late october or november and did not stop

and when i was a freshman in HS the blizzard of '95-'96 the seniors that yr did not have midterms or finals
