I'm a member of that site...but I'm more of a lurker than a poster. I don't want to rant, but we did have the biggest chokejob in history, there's no denying that. I mean, we were up 3-0 and blew a lead to the Red Sox. Even if it wasn't the Red Sox we blew a 3-0 lead to and it was another team it would still be the biggest chokejob. The thing of it was that in the days after, I was very surprised by how humble the Red Sox fans I knew were. I personally think it was probably because they didn't believe it was happening, I mean shit I don't think anyone believed what they saw. All the ribbing I got for the choke came from Met fans. Personally I think Met fans have more to worry about than the Yankees, like the Braves and other teams in their division, but whatever, the Yankees choked, we deserved whatever ribbing we got from Sox fans, but not Met fans, I mean the Mets were done in the middle of July.

However, this season might just be different, I mean the Mets have Beltran, Pedro, and they might add Delgado, I saw something this morning that said that the Mets are back in that race. But the Mets do have problems. Floyd's injuries, Piazza's catching, who knows with Matsui's defense, and Delgado's ok at best with the glove, and of course the bullpen, but most teams have bullpen problems. But that's not to say the Yankees don't have questions either. I mean Randy Johnson is 41 after all. Bernie is getting old. Who knows what the fuck is going to happen with Giambi, you don't know about Womack, he's old too, and the Yankees got Rey Sanchez today to fill in for Enrique Wilson, who left for the Orioles, and Tony Clark signed with the DBacks, and the Yankees also have bullpen trouble, basically to put it into a nutshell, the Yankees are relying on old guys in the rotation which worries me, but who knows. All I know is I can't fuckin wait for baseball to start already. Sorry for making you read all that too.
