How would you fix WWE Smackdown?

Or maybe it's just a goner? I admit I don't even watch it anymore and the only thing I really know about the show is what plays during RAW (probably like many of you).

How would you fix it?

I think he could be a shot in the arm for the show. He has never wrestled Guerro, Angle, Booker T, RVD (well. once I guess). There are rumors of an HBK/ Angle match, possibly at WM, those two would tear down the house.


Highlight the friggin cruiserweights. The WWE has yet to tap that potential.

I would get rid of that giant fist , I can't stand that fucking thing.

All good points especially about HBK on Smackdown! But BigKilla, why Mordecai? Great gimmick, entrance, the whole nine but he couldn't work in the ring just yet and his mic skills leave alot to be desired.

Let's see what would I do?

-JBL should not and I mean NOT still be holding the once prestigious WWE Title.
It's crap in relation to the WWE (actually the WCW) World Title and the NWA Title (well Jarrett is getting on my nerves now still holding the strap). Everyone says it Vince, why not put the strap on someone actually deserving to hold it, ha?

-Dismantle this awful rip-off of The Corporation/Million Dollar Inc.
The Ball & Gag Twins, Orlando "I got less charisma than Blackman & Maven combined" Jordan, Jindrak and whatever else is in that. It's not like I watch the product anyway. I guess Vince grouped them since they got nothing better to do and they let go of alot of better wrestlers.

-What happened to Booker T and RVD? The Dudley Boyz?
They are injured right? Don't watch the product so your guess is as good as mine. At least they can get some airtime in some shape, form or whatever right?

-Bring some bigger guys on this show from RAW.
THIS IS THE INFERIOR PRODUCT OF WWE! Might I suggest Rhyno? Heidenrich won't cut it! Remember a few months back he was some big jobber trying to get a job on RAW? Vince, you thought we just forgot about that. We aren't that stupid now.

-Cena deserves a WWE World Title reign.
He's the Randy Orton of Smackdown! Why not give him the strap for a few months? The fans want it!

-Theodore Long as GM isn't working.
Heyman would be best but maybe a returning Steph or Shane. I know that doesn't suit many right but at least they do better promos than anything Teddy Long can dish out.

-The WWE Cruiserweight Division deserves to be highlighted, it's just a joke in the WWE (always was).
Vince has done it again, screwed over the lightheavyweights. They get no respect on television unlike TNA. X-Division performers like Sabin, AJ, Petey, Sonjay, Daniels, Hardy have been maineventing their programming consistently. Vince, open your eyes. These guys deserve to shine!

-Lastly, make Smackdown live again!
It looks like the workers are getting lax with it since they might be developing a mentality that I don't need to give my all, I can just show up and if I make a mistake, it can get edited out, no problem. I know alot of the Smackdown workers personally have said they really do not care if they are on a card or not at this point. They even went on to say that they would rather be on Heat than any of the Smackdown brand programming. Ouch.

This is what confuses me the most about the "direction" of the WWE. Vince has long been famous for not really pushing guys that aren't his creation. A wrestler who has been "made" by WWE always has a longer shelf life than someone who made a name for himself elsewhere.

Why, then, would the WWE Championship (or however the fuck they refer to the worthless piece of leather around JBL's waist) be held for such a long time by a champion that the world is either laughing at, or is so disgusted by that they have have given up on the product?

Even though Raw has always been referred to as the flagship show, you would think that the SmackDown title would get more respect from Vince by virtue of the fact that (a) it's on network TV and (b) it's not the former WCW title.

Nothing they do seems to makes sense anymore. Which I guess is the reason I haven't really cared in over a year now. I don't have the answers as to how they should fix it...I'm not even sure it's fixable now.

Wasn't Smackdown originally supposed to become the next WCW after they lost in Survivor Series? I would have actually perferred that.

Smackdown can't be saved. It was supposed to be the show that had the future of the WWE on it. RAW was supposed to be like the allstar show of the WWE.

The only time we'll see anything good again on Smackdown is when the contract with UPN is close to an end.
