Is it still a crime if you download something you already own like a movie or song, I dont know why you would do something like that but if you did would it be still be a problem for the RIAA or MPAA

I dont think downloading should be illegal. But I think downloading anything you arent paying for is stealing-according to the record and movie companies. I think its bullshit.

i believe u are allowed to download anything that u already have possesion of.... same goes for cds(burn em if u have em)
