i'll watch the game, but i don't like either team and it takes alot of the fun out of it. i'll hope the Eagles win, but only because i hate the Patriots more.

I really want to enjoy the Super Bowl, but the past several years it's been inpossible since the GAME is secondary in the NFL's eyes. I try to wach it as a fan of the sport, if my team is in it it's a bonus, but Iwatch the Super Bowl just to watch the 2 best teams of the season battle it out to prove who's the best that season.

I know some people from Europe and it blows their mind that the game itself isn't the top priority. My english friend and I got into a discussion about this. In England, the closest thing they have to the Super Bowl there is the FA Cup Final (soccer tournament where all teams in england battle it out through the season in a NCAA B-Ball-style competition throughout the season). He told me that although there is some glitz and entertainment crap surrounding it, the game is the main attraction and most people watch/attend the final because they actually want to see the game, not just be at a "happening". He said it best when he said:

"it's sad when a sports league that wants their sport to be respected and considered the best in the world, yet they disrespect the game by whoreing it out to Television and letting them turn the entire experience of watching the climax of a season into utter shite."

FUCK THE ENTERTAINMENT INDUSTRY FOR TAKING SOMETHING REAL FANS ENJOY AND GANGRAPING IT TO THE POINT WHERE COMMERCIALS ARE A BIGGER DRAW THAN THE GAME ITSELF!!!

It's true - like Mike Francesa always says, the AFC & NFC Championship games are the last real day of the season. Also, I don't bet on football, but I can understand why so many people do - it's not just a matter of hoping to win money, but it gives you a reason to really give a shit about the game.

Ilike football and always watch the superbowl, but not this year. I hate both teams too much to give a damn. So instead I'll get a lot of food and drink and watch my Devils DVD's of their cup winning series and cherish the sport that I really love.
