Need help with NBA2K1 game for Dreamcast

OK. I still have my Dreamcast. It was a pretty good system. But the one thing that's been bugging me is the alley-op. How the freak do you do the alley-op in NBA2K1 for the Dreamcast??? I've seen the computer do it, but I can't figure out how to do it when I play. Does anyone remember how and what buttons to press to do this move???
