First off i know im very late in getting my college apps started but i was wondering should i wait a bit after high school to attend or should i dive straight into college

Depends on if you feel you're ready for it. The most you will want to take off is a year, and really one semester would be preferable. A lot of people aren't ready for college right away, I have a buddy who wasn't and it worked out ok for him. Just depends on whether you're ready or not, but don't wait too long.

depends on what you want to do. Not everybody goes to college. And not everybody that goes to college knows what to do. Some aren't ready for it. You have a couple of choices:

1) Get a job and go to college later if you still chose to.

2) Get a job and take some college classes at the local community college to see what you might be interested in if unsure.

3) Go to college, hang out, meet women. So what if you fail some courses. It's not your money anyway. I could always drop that class. I'm on the Van Wilder plan.

4) Go to college, expecting to finish in 4-5 years and get your degree. Now you can go out and get a job or you can put that off and go to graduate school.

5) Take some time off and do the stuff you always wanted to do depending on your finances.

6) Go home, make a sandwich and play some video games. Hang out all day with you buddies or your gal till you get that speech "You know son, you're not in highschool anymore.......".

I think if you take time off, it will be harder to back to school. I know if I took a year off, I never would have gone on to college.

If your a senior now, you might have a tough time getting into college at this point, as most admissions deadlines have passed. But, of you really want to go to college, aplly for spring semester and spend fall in community college.

Takig time off is hard as fuck because you get out of that student mode and it makes returning to studying more dificult than it needs to be.

If your not sure what you want to do, then go to community college to test the waters. Its much much cheaper, but you still get a taste of what college is all about.

Don't wait.

If you don't get in anywhere go to community college and start knocking off the core classes for cheap.

But don't wait, you wont want to go back and then you will be stuck working in the mall forever.

It will start off being cool, you'll be working with a lot of other young hot people, but then slowly you will turn into the creepy old guy who never went to college and never stopped working at the mall.

well i dont feel im ready to do anymore school at this point.... honesty i dont feel like going in the first place but im being force by several people to do so... i already know what i want to major in which is Hotel/Restaurant Mgmt... the school i plan to go to has rolling admissions but i would have a very short summer if i do go

so lets start a new question... is it worth losing financial support for all members of my family by not going??? i vote no

college was probably the best time of my life. It's a great experience. You should definitely give it a shot. if you don't like it, then at least you have no regrets. and the longer you put college off, the least likely you are to ever go.
