In fact, they were shown in a closeup within 60 seconds of the final out. And every Red Sox fan is determined to pretend that this never happened, and that it didn't taint the moment even a little bit ... so it wasn't a huge deal.

I didn't watch it, I usually do but I couldn't bear to this time, and I already knew what he was going to say anyway. One thing I caught a glimpse of, and one thing I alwasy hate every SOTU, is the opposition rebuttal afterwards. It always seemed to me a little childish, and even though I agree with waht they were saying, I feel the same way this year.
