Marino and Young got in...those are pretty obvious..

But the reason I bring this subject up is basically to scream and yell about the fact that Art Monk is not in the Hall of Fame...can anyone tell me why?

-He retired with more catches than anybody....in a non-passing offence. James Lofton spent his whole career in passing oriented offences, and he is in the Hall...

-Lynn Swann is in the HOF for some reason.....Lynn Swann is not in the TOP 50 OF ANY ALL-TIME RECIEVING CATEGORY

I'm not even a 'Skins fan but this is a grave injustice...year after freakin year...

The football HOF voters are idiots...

I think Monk should be in, too.

Woody Paige was on Cold Pizza the other morning arguing about how he is going to continue to vote for Art Monk, and he views it as a great injustice that he isn't in the HOF. Sometimes I think Woody goes a little over the top with his arguments but I couldn't agree more with him here, Art Monk needs to be in, end of story.

Also, some guy was talking about how Steve Young really shouldn't be in the HOF because when you break it down he only had ONE really good game in his carrer against a garbage Chargers team. Young holds a few NFL records if I'm not mistaken, but when I started to really think about it, that guy had a point. I'm not too convinced he should be in the HOF.

Again....not in the TOP 50 of ANY ALL-TIME RECIEVING CATEGORY...no way he should be in the hall....the only reason he's in there is because everybody suckles at the teat of those 70's Steelers teams....

I would probably venture to say that Young was maybe the best running QB ever....outside of maybe Vick to-day....And i believe he also has the highest QB rating in NFL history...

And Art Monk has three super bowl rings....

So Lynn Swann had nothing to do with them winning 4 Super Bowls? If you have any argument it's with John Stallworth not Swann. You do know Swann only played 9 years right? That's why he isn't in the top 50.

Boondock Saint, greatest sigpic.

However, isn't Lynn Swann the guy who never had 1000 yards receiving? And why is Harry Carson not in the Hall?

Yea, I agree. He really was an amazing runner. What this guy was saying (and I wish I could remember his name but who watches Cold Pizza anyway) was that Young belongs in the Hall of Very Good, but not the Hall of Fame, and I can't help but agree.

Carson should be in, too. But to judge Lynn Swann by his regular season and not include his post season is ridiculous. He is one of the main reasons they won 4 Super Bowls. Would you put Derek Jeter in the Hall of Fame based on his regular season stats?

Yeah I did, Woody flip flopped after Skips comments and agreed with him that Young wasn't good enough.
