Joe Gibbs Show on Tuesdays?

I can't vouch for this being correct because I haven't heard it firsthand and I can't locate an official link, but it has been posted elsewhere that WJFK announced that Joe Gibbs will be given a 7:00 pm show on Tuesday nights along the lines of "Man on Man with Garry Williams" -- which means yet another night that R&F will be pre-empted for an hour. Ridiculous!

Has anyone heard the promo?

Oh sweet jesus, tell me you are joking...they are determined to ruin this station, bit by bit. At least with the Gary Williams abortion, that will disappear at the end of March Madness. A weekly Joe Gibbs Show will be there for as long as The Coach is around.

Hopefully the rumors of WJFK getting The Nationals will be true, and they can plop R&F, D&M, Stern and The Hideout on The Arrow, which has a better signal.

They've been at this since the 1980s, so they've seen much worse. They also know that things are very flued right now and more than likely won't settle down until Stern leaves (if he leaves), and the rest of the dust settles.

All of that said - whenever their next contract comes up with Infinity, being treated with more respect may weigh as much as money.

i just wish they would show the guys more respect. I doubt they are to demanding behind the scenes or raise hell. maybe that is the problem? who knows, but they have some talent there and they just need to let them do their show.

That really sucks big ones. From what the boys have gone through before, I'm sure this doesn't get to them as much as it would others. However, they're slowly driving R&F to a three hour show that is pre-empted by out-of-format one hour crappy sports shows.

Can't be good for station morale, the hopefully growing listener base and R&F in the ratings.

I just heard a commercial for the new Joe Gibbs show starting on Tuesday night at 7pm. Why don't they run this crap during O'Rielly or on the weekends. Jesus Christ leave the Ron and Fez show alone. God forbid WJFK gets the fucking Nationals. The boys will never be on.

I just confirmed with Ron. The Joe Gibbs show is happening on Tuesday, but it's only a one time thing so R&F won't be pre-empted on a regular basis.

It seems to me WJFK isn't focus on developing a solid line up. They have all the talent but there's no indication they know what to do with them.

I can understand a station wants to be the flagship station for the pro sports teams or college team, but they don't even do a good job at that. Show's like "Man on Man" just proves their effort to promote a team.

As mentioned in this thread, when the dust settles after Stern leaves people will see how much their show is valued and will make their move then. It'll be interesting to see how much interference JFK will make before then.

D&M's contract expires in about 3 or 4 years; the Junkies have talked of their contract expiring this October; Ron & Fez renewed their contract last year and don't normally talk about their contracts, so who knows when.
