These are my picks to win awards broken down by major categories.
Best Picture is a toss-up between Aviator and Million Dollar Baby, either one will win.
Best Actor will be Jamie Foxx for Ray. A great performance and he has been whoring himself everywhere to all the voters so this is a shoe in.
Supporting Actor- Morgan Freeman
Lead Actress- Kate Winslet, because I loved that movie and she was great in it.
Supporting Actress- Cate Blanchett, they missed her during the Lord of the Rings era, and she did a good job as Catherine Hepburn.
Best Director- Clint Eastwood
Adapted Screenplay- Sideways
Original Screenplay- Eternal Sunshine...

For the first time in a long time I'm really torn between a few movies, but I'll tell you what, I just saw Hotel Rwanda over the weekend and I hope Don Ceadle wins for best actor.

No! I am not Prince Hamlet, nor was meant to be; Am an attendant lord, one that will do To swell a progress, start a scene or two, advise the prince; no doubt, an easy tool, deferential, glad to be of use, Politic, cautious, and meticulous; Full of high sentence, but a bit obtuse; At times, indeed, almost ridiculous-- Almost, at times, the Fool.

Jimmy Fallon kissing Drew Barrymore -- on the field, on live TV -- right after the Red Sox won their first World Series in 86 years. In fact, they were shown in a closeup within 60 seconds of the final out. And every Red Sox fan is determined to pretend that this never happened, and that it didn't taint the moment even a little bit ... so it wasn't a huge deal.

I just saw it yesterday actually. Cheadle was definitely great in it, as was DiCaprio in the Aviator. But potraying Ray Charles as well as Jamie Foxx did, is definitely deserving of that Oscar...plus all the lesser award shows like the SAG awards, Golden Globes, and BAFTAs gave Foxx the award, I think th"academy" will do the same.

Who would have thought we'd ever see the day when Jamie Foxx and Leonardo DiCaprio were up for the Best Actor award, let alone in the same year?

Do not hate on Dicaprio. He may be a tool but he has always been a damn good actor. He has done some bad movies but he still is damn good.
