I was satirizing the republican strategy for staying in power...keep the people afraid, being non specific about threats, reinforcing our military agenda...
o ya, cuz terrorist threats werent mentioned once by democrats, i seem to remember them saying how we arent safer after 9/11

Funny how absent this campaign of fear was following the first WTC bombing...
Of course we're less safe...but what happened to the days of alerting the public when it was absolutely necessary, as to avoid a panic...how does keeping people scared and suspicious possibly help the situation? Would 9/11 been averted if we, the people, were more diligent in our arab hating? Is it our job to know another attack is coming? It is not the job of the american people to find terrorists or neutralize terrorist threats. The general public is not trained at identifying and dealing with such things. That's what the FBI for, that's what the police is for..tha'ts what the government is for. Our job is to live our lives.
And another thing...do you think Al Queda is that fucking stupid as to do something so obvious as to attract the attention of some Joe Shmo to the point where he'll be the one to bring down thier plans? Maybe you didn't get the memo that Die Hard is just a movie.
