Patriots LB hospitalized with headaches (http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news?slug=ap-patriots-bruschihospitalized&prov=ap&type=lgns)

WBZ4 just reported he's having stroke like symptoms.

I hope he's gonna be okay. Tedy's the man.

Although I hate the Pats, he was one of the guys on the team I liked because he is just an animal. I wonder if this has to do with steroids?

If this is a stroke, and the clot dissolved quickly on its own or he got to the hospital quickly and they were able to treat it, he should be OK. My father had a stroke a while ago and the clot dissolved in the ambulance on the way to the hospital, he was able to walk by the time he got to the hospital and he said he had no long term permanent damage from it. He was back to work in a month, and he said he could have gone back sooner if the doctors allowed it.

Good luck to him. Even if this Eagle fan has evil thoughts he will never let leave his head.

Holy shit man! God bless him. I hope he is gonna be alright.

I could not even begin to comprehend powerful headaches. I get the slightest one and it drives me nuts.

Jimmy Fallon kissing Drew Barrymore -- on the field, on live TV -- right after the Red Sox won their first World Series in 86 years. In fact, they were shown in a closeup within 60 seconds of the final out. And every Red Sox fan is determined to pretend that this never happened, and that it didn't taint the moment even a little bit ... so it wasn't a huge deal.

I'm glad that he's sitting up in bed, talking and in good condition. Hopefully this was nothing major. When I heard about this last night I was devestated because I absolutely love this guy. Let's pray everything turns out alright.

Wow I hope he's OK. Tedy got GAME!!!

Is this considered an aneurism or a stroke? My Grandmother had a "shower" stroke which really messed her up bad. Her stroke was caused from a catherization tube knocking plaque loose from her heart arteries. Strokes are the fucking WORST!

I hope he feels better and gets traded to the Jets!!!

One type of stroke is a burst blood vessel in the brain, as you can see here. (http://health.yahoo.com/health/centers/heart/115) That type of stroke can be caused by high blood pressure. EDIT: Read that wrong. Ignore that last sentence. The article said it was a broken blood vessel, not artery. if that's the case, this could happen to anybody at any age.

He's up, walking and could leave the hospital tomorrow. They're not really saying much about the long term effects here, I wonder what they are and if it will effect his playing.

considering playing probably contributed to this, he might never again, which is a shame, cause he is a top class player, and a top class person

It said in that link I posted that 10% recover completely and 25% recover with minor impairments. But I'd guess that as far as Bruschi's football career goes, even minor impairments could hurt his game. That he has recovered so fast and is leaving the hospital already is a really good sign, and that he is in great physical condition is also a good sign.
