View Full Version : Most heavily armored sub ever.....
... and you won't believe who they named it after. (http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/6997754/)
I can only guess the sub will be highly ineffective at anything it does.

Jimmy Carter has done alot for Habitat for Humanity. And he's the only president to have served on 3 different subs during his 12-year Naval career.

Rumor has it that the USS Billy Carter will be comissioned in '06
I dont care, I just don't care, I really dont care. F U Howard Stern!!!!!
Carter was a former President and was a U.S. Naval Academy graduate (Class of 1946).
He earned and deserves this honor.

I'm surprised the sub hasn't surrendered already to North Korea.
All jokes aside, Carter really has been a solid supporter of the Navy throughout his life.

And, according to intelligence experts, it can tap undersea cables and eavesdrop on the communications passing through them.
Thats fucking awesome. I just watched an hour long thing on subs this weekend on the history channel. They are awesome machines, but I really do not know how the guys do it who live on them. Those little beds and places to keep their stuff.

Other than Eisenhower, Carter has more military experience than any US president since Ulysses S. Grant.
And JFK didn't?
Ford, Nixon, LBJ, Truman served for a time in the military.

Yes, they all served, but Carter was in far longer than any of them.
1946-1953?
Yeah -- you're right. That beats out WWII service.
