both are paid for and i want to trade them in, but I won't do so until I move back to LI. then i will go with one car. but for now i need my truck in the snow and the other car is for just about every other day. i like the truck more, but the gas is just to much to pay for.

East Coast Service rep here.
2002 White Hyundai Accent purchased Thanksgiving 2002. I have roughly 130,000 miles on it and it is still driving like a charm. I was doing mostly routes to Philly every week until my route got changed to North Jersey and Long Island over the fall. Fortunately I am back to Philly again with South Jersey on my schedule now. I have trips to Baltimore and Northern Virginia interspersed int here every now and again too. I just fear the car breaking down for no good reason than it just wants to screw me somewhere.

the ULTRA white headlights are also hated by everyone NOT driving your car. it pisses me off that people are such shitty driver now that they need headlights that blind me the other way AS MUCH as high beams do. Maybe if you fucks paid attention, you wouldnt need to blind everyone else so you can see.

i went under the car today to see what the motor mounts may look like
i think i found them, two of them... and they seemed to have easy access but i'm not gonna try it
my dad wants me to save money and wants us to do the work but it's too cold to be fucking around and whenever you work on a car it seems the 'easy' jobs turn into a 6 hour project. if it was summer i might give it a shot
so i'm taking it to the shop in the morning... the guy said with some Tauruses you have to take the air condition unit out and empty/refill it in order to replace the motor mounts. and other Taurus models are easy access and not too bad
we'll see what happens tomorrow

Not really a waste if you like making a crappy car look a little decent.
id spend 4200 bucks on a ticket before id spend 10 bucks to put "clear" parking light lenses or whatever on my car....who gives a shit.
4200 bucks? Right....... I only spent a combination of $50 on my mods and they look fine.. Plus, orange lens make cars look so crappy.
the ULTRA white headlights are also hated by everyone NOT driving your car. it pisses me off that people are such shitty driver now that they need headlights that blind me the other way AS MUCH as high beams do. Maybe if you fucks paid attention, you wouldnt need to blind everyone else so you can see.
The lights your talking about are XENON headlights which give a brightish blue glow. I hacve Ultra White, and doesn't affect no ones driving.. Put it this way, a stock headlight glow looks kind of yellowish/amber.. mine are plain bright white..
blue blinkers....same thing as clear lenses.
It depends on which car you put them on.. It doesn't look good on many cars..
sorry, nothing personal against you, but that shit just pisses me off. people pay money to put shit on to make it look nice to other people who dont really give a shit what it looks like. in the same boat with the dumbass women who pay $200 bucks to have some gay shit painted on their nails. no, the lights i was referring to were HID, hi defs, which are available in blue, amber, and guess what, ULTRA WHITE
and this woulda been alot meaner, but you agree with me, and only sensible people agree with me, so its all good. also, i didnt originall read it was a hundayi (sp), in which case i would pay just to take the logo off

110 apiece(needed two) and 107 for labor... i heard people talking about motor mounts costing around 10 bucks. the mechanic showed me my old ones, they were pretty big and he said they are filled with a kind've like hydraulic fluid. he showed me a different mount from another car and there wasn't much to it, just a metal plate basically
my older brother thought i got a fair deal
so i'll be off to the inspection station tomorrow and hopefully get that awful REJECTED sticker off my windshield

the saga continues
>had motor mounts replaced monday
>went for re-inspection on Tue morning and Failed again for motor mounts. two Inspection managers came out and did the motor mount test(after i showed them my receipt) and it looked like the engine was gonna jump out of the car
so now i'm a little ticked and i drive back to my mechanic. i kept calm and told them what happened. he apologized but stood by the work they did. so we do our own motor mount test and he sees how the engine jumps up in the front.
he noticed that the motor mount stayed in place but the crossbar the motor mount attaches to was moving up with the engine and it should be securing the motor mount
so i brought it in this morning and they confirmed it's this metal cross section that needs to be secured with some new bushings. i had to bring the car in with about 4 inches of solid ice stuck to the underside of it due to driving in yesterdays snow and ice
they said it will be another 125.00
i'm a little upset that the shop didn't test the new mounts after installing them, it wouldn't have saved me money but it would have saved me these extra trips to inspection and back to the shop
hey, even the pros at the inspection station continued to blame the motor mounts

I've got the sweetest ride...
A '92 Pontiac Grand Am with 110,000 miles on it. It's gray with a red interior, a stain on one seat that looks awful, but is actually spilled rubber cement, a Casio keyboard for backseat entertainment, and you can hear me coming from a mile away because of the muffler. It's pure beauty.
And I bought it from a place called the Car Barn. Yeehaw.

I've been driving a 1990 maxima. apparently this car has over 300k on it but it runs sweet. pwr steering needs wrk but it's a sweet hooptie for 300 bux. It's got a little giddyup to it . some one has a lebaron convertible w/less mileage they want to sell cheap but some part of me just believes this car is reliable even though it is old and been driven across the country like 100 times. until I can afford that aston martin volante i been wanting I deal with this.
