I've been wondering about this for sometime now. How come most boards are not like this one.

I've notice the disussions and users on this board are mostly courteous. I rarely see a flame or attack on any user. However this is not the norm on the other forums either you're flamed for your opinion or the discussion threads deteriorates into something stupid.

Does the credit goto the moderators, the board admins? Or everyone in here are civil and have a brain? Or a combination of both?

But in all seriousness... I think it's because the board's been around for so long. At this point, it's the people who attempt to do the "flaming" that get flamed.

It's because the nazi-mods have beaten us into submission. We are broken men who dare not step out of line.













On a serious note, though, I think at least part of it comes from the show. What I mean is, most of us are here because we are/were fans of a particular radio show. And this very unique show manages to not only survive but flourish in comedic talk radio without being cruel, rude, or over the top perverted.

I think in some way that puts people who come here into a mindset that they don't have to be Internet Toughguys, know-it-alls, etc...even though there are a few exceptions. And then beyond that there are those few people who are here without ever having heard the show (I assume) who just chose to follow the lead of the rest of us in not turning this place into an electronic fight club.

At least that's alaways been my take on this place, And why it's the first site I visit daily after checking my email.

I think above all else its the show. Ron and Fez both come across as good guys. Type of guys you'd like to have a beer with, which they've been known to do w/listeners. So it attracts a good crowd.
