Well obviously there are restrictions on anything like this... You wouldn't want some crazy fuck winning and naming the place "The Holocaust Never Happened Center" or the "Tit Fuck Center."

But ultimately, the "Jeter Center" is not profain or inappropriate. And he won the auction and should be able to do what he wants as long as its within the boundaries of decency.

The owner of "Micky Mantle's" in NYC renamed the place "Ted Williams'" for a day after the Sox had defeated the Yankees. I wasn't happy about it, but it's his place.

Not that it matters, but you're assuming that the guy who won made it clear that he was from NY and that he planned to use a pro-Yankees name. If this is the case, I can gurantee that someone in Boston or some business would have outbid him.
