About a month ago, Steven Spielberg annouced that Indiana Jones IV is going to be filmed and released sometime in 2006. I am gonna guesstimate that it would probably be released sometime around X-Mas time if it will be out in 2006. I know I am pretty excitied to hear about another Indiana Jones, and am interested to know what the story line will be. I only have a vague story link from IMDB

Isn't Harrison Ford getting a little old to be doing this?

Maybe this time he'll be searching for the fountain of youth

Perhaps the story shall be about Indy getting old and looking for some young blood to replace him. I just hate that this is going to throw off the whole 'trilogy' thing. And considering that Last Crusade was a great way to end the movies.

Big Thanx to Fallon.

Jimmy Fallon kissing Drew Barrymore -- on the field, on live TV -- right after the Red Sox won their first World Series in 86 years. In fact, they were shown in a closeup within 60 seconds of the final out. And every Red Sox fan is determined to pretend that this never happened, and that it didn't taint the moment even a little bit ... so it wasn't a huge deal.</center>

It'll be interesting to see two movies, starring two of the biggest actors of our time, tackling roughly similar stories, but from very different angles, in the same year: Indy 4 as well as The da Vinci Code, starring Tom Hanks, also due 2006.

Indiana Jones and the Search For A Colostomy Bag.

Goddamn it, let it die. I can trust Spielberg, but for god's sake, when you fuck with something that's perfect, you get the new Star Wars trilogy.

Harrison Ford IS too old to be doing this. The guy's in his 60s now, which is definitely too old to be the star of an action movie.

Knowing Hollywood, this movie will feature him being reunited with the long-lost illegitimate son that he never knew he had.

And that son will be played by Ben Affleck.

........like you don't know this will happen. You KNOW it will.

The eternal youth angle was done in The Last Crusade while they were looking for the Holy Grail. But then again it's Hollywood. They'll recycle anything.

Spielberg is so far beyond making these kind of films at this point.

Right now that would be a thousand times better than a new Indiana Jones movie starring the near-dead Harrison Ford.

They've been saying this for at least 5 years. They even had a writer last year... then Lucas decided he was going to rewrite the whole thing and I got nauteous.

I'll believe it the day principle photography starts.

Personally, I think it would be cool if the new Indy flick had something to do with Roswell. The timeline kinda works. Indy would be alive (and older) when the Area51 incident "really happened".

Sure, it's not an archeological dig but, it would be interesting to see Spielberg and Ford do some sci-fi shit together.

the plot line will be that indiana jones realizes that he's getting too old to do this and as he's looking for someone to replace him. he'll find out that he has a son that he never knew about.

My sister told me that the order of the trilogy is backwards and that 2 and 3 are actually prequels. Is that true?
