I'm sure nobody's interested, since it makes Bush look good. But Libya has volluntarily disarmed, Israel's pulling out of Gaza, Now Mubarak announces Democratic reforms.

Also
Lebanon shaking off Syrian influence (http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=10000087&sid=aNauQwtHCGZg&refer=top_world_news)

And
Syria coming around? (http://www.smh.com.au/news/After-Saddam/Saddams-halfbrother-captured-on-Syria-border/2005/03/01/1109546810517.html?oneclick=true)

All pure coincidence. Nothing to do with The Bush Policies and Iraq. Deserves no credit whatsoever. All would have happened anyway.

This only makes Bush look good if you want it to.

From the first article...

"It's a partial, limited step that doesn't allow for real democratic and constitutional development in the country," said Nabil Abdel Fattah, a constitutional expert with Cairo's Al-Ahram Centre for Strategic and Political Studies.

What's the US gonna do against Egypt, anyway? We might say "tisk, tisk" to them, but that's about it.

I'd say the Lebanon thing has a little more to do with suspicion that Syria had Lebanon's President assassinated.

I have to register for the third article so I dunno about it. It's from some newpaper in Australia, so who knows anything about the reliability of the source.

Explain to me why you think this is all because of Bush.

"To announce that there must be no criticism of the president, or that we are to stand by the president right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public." [ Theodore Roosevelt ]

Israel's pulling out of Gaza

I think that had more to do with Arafat's death.
