Besides those that will be inducted the night before Wrestlemania this year, who would you like to see become the next additions to the WWE Hall of Fame.

Also, what are the qualifications to be in their HOF? "Retired" for more than 5 years?

They should induct Bobby Heenan every single year just so he can give a speech. The one he gave last year was fucking hysterical.

Definately the Hitman. Brett Hart's career is finished, he should be a lock for the HOF. Hopefully he and the WWE can come to terms and make this happen eventually.

Well, they shouldn't have any more inductees this year. Besides Bret Hart, they won't have anyone left who is alive to induct next year if they add any more to this year's class.

I was looking over a list of inductees and I didn't see Bruno Samartino. Nikoli Volkoff makes it in before Samartino? The guy held the belt for 8 yrs I think.

Bruno Samartino has been invited every year. He refuses because he "doesn't like the direction wrestling has gone in". He can go straight to hell for all I care.

Times change you stupid old prick. If wrestling was as boring now as it was when he performed, I would have never become a fan.

I think next year we may see more wrestlers that weren't too known in the WWE but were jnown in other Feds (WCW, ECW, etc.) I think they are starting to run out of the old-school greats form the WWF. if I were to guess who from teh 80's wwf that could come into the HOF next year:

Hitman
Dibiase
Fuji
Slick

That would be pretty cool. Knowing WWE, they'd simply put the other feds in an Honorable Mentions catagory.

That's not true. Harley Race wasn't exactly inducted for being "King"

WWE has said they want to move the HOF from being a WWE HOF to a Wrestling HOF, so I think we'll see more WCW and other fed stars next year.

And Bruno has a beef with Vince, not wrestling.

Bret will come around when he decides he wants the WWE payday.

I wonder if WWE would ever consider opening a hall fo fame at their Ct offices, like a wreslting Cooperstown, would be a potential source of revenue (albeit a small one)

Bruno Samartino has been invited every year. He refuses because he "doesn't like the direction wrestling has gone in". He can go straight to hell for all I care.

Old school guys like Bruno feel that Vince has, to an extent, ruined the business they'd given their lives too, and they're not TOTALLY off.

Vince may have done more for the business than anyone else, but he's also single-handed done more to expose and tarnish the business than ANYONE else has. Ever.

In North America, wrestling was always somewhat seen as carny, unlike in other parts of the world, like Mexico (where it's almost a religion) or Japan (where it's respected almost as a true sport). Vince just makes sure it remains carny, no matter how big it may get.

Times change you stupid old prick. If wrestling was as boring now as it was when he performed, I would have never become a fan.

Just because times have changed doesn't mean that the old school stuff was bad or boring, just different.

Sad to say, but guys like Bruno, or some of the other old schoolers like The Destroyer or Ray Stevens, etc., knew more about popping a crowd and more about ring psychology than most of the guys in the WWE today.

Hell, even consider Terry Funk. Funk did fantastic stuff back in the 70s / 80s, but sad to say all most people are going to remember him these days is the awful, atrocious shit from ECW.

Bruno rejected an offer to be inducted into the Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame (http://www.pwhf.org), which is an independent organization and not affiliated with World Wrestling Entertainment or Vince McMahon in any way.

Tony Atlas, Yes (part of the First African American Tag Team Champs)

Elizabeth, Yes (First lady of wrestling)

Road warriors, yes (they changes the face of tag team wrestling forever)

As for Bundy, Steamboat and the Anvil, I would have to say no. Non of them really stand out as exemplarily wrestlers or their persona "changing the wrestling world" My opinion.

One name that has been left out the converation is Hogan. Now personally, I don't like Hogan. He's at best an average wrestler. But I must admit, he had the BIGGEST impact on wrestling.

I thought Bob Backlund was already inducted. He had one of the longest reigns as WWF champion. If he isn't, the one thing that may hurt his chances of being inducted is he was not very charasmatic. Although he possessed great wrestling skills, he was not "head and shoulders" above the competition of his day, let alone of all time. My opinion

If Cowboy Bob Orton, who was primarily just a sidekick his entire WWE career, can get in, and if someone like Nikolai Volkoff, who was a jobber for at least 3/4ths of his WWE career, can get in, than those three definitely should. Bundy main evented a Wrestlemania. Anvil is half of one of the greatest WWE tag teams of all time. And Steamboat is a former NWA champion, one of the best technical wrestlers of the past 30 years, and had a match at Wrestlemania III with Savage that was so good & memorable that it's still considered to this day to be one of the best Mania matches of all time (if not one of the best WWF / WWE matches of all time).

Big Thanx to Fallon.

Jimmy Fallon kissing Drew Barrymore -- on the field, on live TV -- right after the Red Sox won their first World Series in 86 years. In fact, they were shown in a closeup within 60 seconds of the final out. And every Red Sox fan is determined to pretend that this never happened, and that it didn't taint the moment even a little bit ... so it wasn't a huge deal.</center>

In terms of Cowboy Bob orton or Volkoff, you are right, I do not believe he should be in the Hall of fame.

In terms of Bundy, to me, you have to do more that headline ONE Wrestlemania to be placed in the hall of fame. He was simply a fat gimmick.

In terms of Neidhart getting in, and the Hart foundation being one of the best tag teams in hsitroy, PLEASE!!!!! I'd put Tony Garea (sp) and Rick Martel above them!!!!!! First, lets be honest, for the most part, WWF/WWE tag team champions were pathetic copareted tio NWA/WCW tag teams (Doom, Rock and Roll Expresses, Etc). Hell ECW had better tag teams than the WWE/WWF. So right off the bat, we are talking about the best of the worst. But lets look as some of the elites of WWF Tag Teams: the Samoans, Demolition, the Moondogs, The Steiners, Road warriors, the British Bulldogs. ALL of whom made a statements within the WWF/WWE. These teams revolutionized the tag team scene of their era.

Now in terms of steamboat, If we are talking about a total wretling hall of fame, then yes. NO Question. Hall of Fame First Ballot. But I think his stay in WWF was not a productive as it could have been.

Rick Steamboat wrestled in probably 3 of the 10 greatest wrestling matches in history and he didn't change the business?

Andre was the first to go in years and years ago (ok, maybe 10 years ago), but I dont think there was a real ceremony like they do now.

Where is Captain Lou? manages 15 teams to tag team gold, and a few to intercontintal. he should have gone in before heenan.

Bruno turns it down every year.
Gerea, what was he 5 time tag champ with all different partners? road agent and backstage mentor to how many guys? he should be in.

Rodz? the guy to this day still trains guy (but I heard he has a bad rep.) should be in.

there are plenty of people that should go in now, while they are still around.
