Has the news ever ruined your day?

Im talking about events like the killing and mutilation of 4 Americans in Fallujah last Spring or the many beheadings that have happened. At work I visit CNN, Fox News etc periodically to see whats going on in the world. Reading like that really affected me to the point where I really couldnt concentrate on work, Do these and other events have that affect on you?

i cant watch the news because of how they treat the stories. for one, its always fucked up shit, rape and murder and whatever, never any good news or anything.

then they talk about some baby being killed and then are just like how sad....so chuck i hear the knicks won tonight.....what the fuck is that shit

i stopped really watching local news in oct 2001 when the plane went down in belle harbor ...

i just got sick of watching people and places i know become the lead story ...

plus, with the internet, the news flow is much more immediate ...

and you have espn news and sports center for the important things ...

my chick can't have any news on lately ... any terror warning or new 19yr old dead soldier just floors her ...

Nothing in the news shocks me anymore. I think over the past few years we have seen every kind of terror and brutality there is. I think we've all just become used to it...

Its the morning traffic reports that really piss me off...
