View Full Version : My Dad won $10,000 on Scratch and Match

I already posted it in the evil Scratch and Match thread - but my Dad won $10,000 on Daily News Scratch and Match this week.
Karmas a bitch, huh - after all those evil Scratch and Match posters coming here with their inane scratch and match requests in broken grammar, my father won by buying the Sunday paper.
Anyway, my Dad deserves it... he hasn't even been able to buy a car for 8 years, now he can finally go get one.

Just because he, nor anyone he's related to, ever posted looking for numbers, he's the greatest man alive and deserves every goddamn penny of that ten grand.
Everyone else asking for numbers...you get ten thousand cancers.

I am, actually. That's great. Plus, one big prize in the hands of Missy's dad is one prize out of the hands of the non-paper buying number scavengers who infest our site like termites during scratch n' match season.

Congrats to your dad.
And here I thought Mikey's head would explode because he was pissed to see yet another Scratch n Match thread, but on the other hand he's happy for your dad.

Now my dad won't have to bum rides from DMX anymore to get to work!!!
--- This is true - DMX has seen my Dad walking to work before and stopped and given him a ride to work in his Escalade

Scratch that (hahaha)
My Dad
Scratched off the wrong numbers
so he didn't win the 10k. I blame this on the Evil Scratch and Match Posters.
(my sister and I feel bad and are going to try and buy him a car this weekend anyway)

holy shit! that's a bummer
reminds me somewhat of when i got 5 out of 6 on the pick six and the number i didn't have "which was the 1st number" was the 1st number in the other set of numbers on the same ticket
yeah i won almost 700 bucks but that's a big difference than 2 1/2 million
plus i had to pay tax on the 700
when i was 15 my dad took me to the Meadowlands Track and it was my first time there. He won the triple that night for around 800... He used 824 which was my oldest brothers ship number in the Navy...
that's all it's been, little bits o' money here and there

Big Thanx to Fallon.
Jimmy Fallon kissing Drew Barrymore -- on the field, on live TV -- right after the Red Sox won their first World Series in 86 years. In fact, they were shown in a closeup within 60 seconds of the final out. And every Red Sox fan is determined to pretend that this never happened, and that it didn't taint the moment even a little bit ... so it wasn't a huge deal.</center>
