Screw you, Jetsgo.
The Canadian Airline really pulled a fast one.

They lowered their fares to ridiculous rates so everyone would buy tickets and today, they went out of business and are offering NO REFUNDS and NO ALTERNATIVES!

Thousands of Spring Breakers are literally STRANDED in Mexico. Not to mention all the daily New York business commuters. And then there's all their Canadian destinations!

My wife was supposed to fly to the Maritimes (Eastern Canada) next week. That's $250 bucks that we'll never get back AND she doesn't get to go home for Easter.

Pardon my French but, FUCK YOU Jetsgo, you piss-drunk cocks!

JETSGO is a new airline and it's, basically, "the JetBlu of Canada".
Cheap fares.
No frills.
Easy check-in.
blah blah blah.

What pisses me off is, the airline was having a HUGE sale a few weeks ago and JUST THE OTHER DAY they extended the sale prices until March 14th!!
As recently as 4 days ago, they were advertising and taking money from customers.
Then, this morning they announce that they are out-of-business and not offering refunds or alternatives.

If everything is exactly as you say it is, it sounds like a HUGE class action lawsuit will go up. I'd say keep your eyes open for that and make sure you're on it.

Or hell, take the fight up yourself and see about starting one.

Because that is about the biggest load of shit I've ever heard of. You know these companies have meetings about profit and shit like that weeks and months before they go out of business. They see the trends and knew this was coming.

though its a dickhead move to drop prices and basically rob people, its a tough thing. all the people in your boat, who bought the tickets when they plummeted fairs knowing they were fucked have a great case. But bankruptcy does happen, and generally when it does, no one gets much of what they are owed

also, the plunge in prices may have been a last ditch effort to simply make enough to pay off investors and creditors, assuming that they would cover enough to stay afloat and actually fufill all the tickets they sold cheap. they just might not have sold enough anyway and ended up having to. like i said if they knew, you got robbed, but they dont always know

Quick question fezident. Was there anything in the news about sweeping layoffs or shake ups in the offices of Jetsgo? If there was, I would have to say that you should have known there was a chance buying from them. If not, it helps your case in my mind. They were trying to put on the facade that they were a business worth buying from long enough to get cash. Lawsuit nephew!

I'll admit that I don't really watch the news. 20/20 and Dateline YES. Regular network news, NO.
I have no idea if Jetsgo was a healty company. The definitely didn't advertise their problems but, ya better believe that I saw their f'cking seat-sale advertisements!
My mother-in-law uses Jetsgo all the time for business and now SHE is the proud owner of a worthless ticket to Vancouver. She watches the news every night so, I'm gonna assume that the company was trying to show the public a happy face.
My wife is an on-air radio personality here in Toronto and after she mentioned our little situation, people were calling the station ALL MORNING talking about how much money they lost with Jetsgo. Entire families are stranded here or there. Or just stuck at home and unable to go on vacations and stuff.
I'm sure this kind of thing happens all the time but, this is my first experience with this shit.

see here is the thing. She flies them all the time, which means up until now, she was happy with them. Now my flight expirience is limited compared to alot of people, but i know 1 ting from my travels: I usually was never very happy with something of my airlines, usually customer service, including on the planes.
if she was happy with them, that means they probably took care of the customers while they were around. Cause of that, id hope they didnt see it coming either, and that its a fact of life type deal, not that i wanna see you get dicked out of a ticket. If they did know, then you probably could sue them like moe said, and sueing a bankrupt and out of business company really is just gonna waste more time and money
