Let's say you were in possession of a 1951 US Silver Quarter & you were curious to find out how much it was worth. Now, let's say you were too lazy to do a Google search to find that you could buy one, uncirculated, for $10.50 (http://store.rscoins.com/19siqu8.html), or that they're being sold at auction for around $32 (http://page.auctions.shopping.yahoo.com/auction/89460488?aucview=froogle)...what other sites would you use to find this info?
I received a request from a friend who wanted to pick the brains of the folks here at RF.net since there always seems to be someone among us that's into any subject that's brought up. This friend was away from the computer at the moment & hoped he could check in later & see all kinds of info.
Any suggestions?

I used to really be into coins. I still get each year's Mint set and Uncirculated set, as well as the Silver Proof Walking Liberty from the Mint.
I used to get this red price book every year when I was a kid to keep track of the prices. Of course, with today's technology, those sites hurlmon showed you are more up to the minute.
And if I remember correctly, some coins with no mint mark were minted in Philly. Then they only had to mark Denver and San Fran.

I got into coin collecting because my dad does it a lot, and the hobby sort of passed down to me. I don't do it as much as I used to (and neither does my dad), but we do have a pretty good collection.
I'm all for the misprints, especially the pennies. My dad likes the Morgan Silver dollars.
