She was just starting to break out in films. The truely sad part is she is REALLY young. Only 31!
She just finished filming a movie where she has the starring role.

I read about this on the Monk message board. Sad. I was hoping that they would bring her character back, but it won't be happening now. Is there more to the story of why she died? Did she have a week immune system or something.

She played this girl that married Monk's neighbor to get his lottery winnings (she worked in the store that he purchased the winning ticket since he always played the same numbers). It was the paperboy episode. She was smoking HOT in that episode.

Wow, that sucks. Not to be insensitive, but unless she was born with some problem that put her immune system in a vulnerable position, how does a Hollywood actress die of pneumonia? You would think someone around her would have picked up on how sick she was & gotten her some help. She just filmed her first starring role, doesn't she have people. Otherwise, that's 1980s code for "had AIDS." I hope not, not that it matters much now.
