This is probably a topic already but what the hell. What music is currently in the CD player?
For me, its Breaking Benjamin. I got there "We are not alone" cd yesterday. Def. one of the best i have ever heard. I also switch it up w/ Crossfade and Submersed.

BTW, if anyone can find lyrics to "I'm a Rover" (not The Wild Rover) it would be much appreciated. I couldn't find it on google at all.

sMiLe by Brian Wilson.
Knocks me the fuck out every time I hear it. It's like listening to it fresh every time. There are so many layers and shapes and forms in this music. Songs I didn't like 2 months ago( or in some cases, like HEROS and VILLANS, 20 years ago), I love now because I hear them differently. Or I have come to see how they fit into the big picture that is being painted. Or I see now how it fits with a song earlier on the album. It's really weird to see and hear a genius while he is alive. I don't care that his voice is not what it once was. That music came from him. I care not if he sings it, the Beach Boys, sing it, or The Wondermints. It sounds great and it sounds unique. There is nothing out there right now that I can honestly say, is not cookie cutter. Lots of little girls, lots of guys mad at their dad, lots of angry black men. In all those cases.if you heard it once you heard it a lot.

Big Thanx to Fallon.
Jimmy Fallon kissing Drew Barrymore -- on the field, on live TV -- right after the Red Sox won their first World Series in 86 years. In fact, they were shown in a closeup within 60 seconds of the final out. And every Red Sox fan is determined to pretend that this never happened, and that it didn't taint the moment even a little bit ... so it wasn't a huge deal.</center>

My cd player hasn't been turned on in over a year.

Yea, same here with the CD Player. The iPod totally changed the way I listen to my own music. It just most of the shit I had completel accessable to me at the push of a button.
My new thing is to just put the Shuffle thing on and let it play as I work, when I have the chance in my new position to listen to music.

Looking VERY forward to seeing them on Friday. Haven't really heard much, which in the hardcore vein is a rarity.
Last thing in my player was Rise Against - Siren Song of the Counter Culture.
I had to work in Central PA today so I grabbed a stack of stuff I haven't listened to in a while. (See Dusting off the CD's thread). Youth of Today, Better Than A Thousand, StretchArmStrong and some old school 7Seconds (saw them Sunday) and Vision (also seeing them Friday) to name a few.

I'm listening to the four volumes in the...
http://images-eu.amazon.com/images/P/B0000506E8.02.LZZZZZZZ.jpg
...series.
Each collection is two discs, and they basically just collect the classic soul/funk/disco/blues/reggae songs that have been sampled for key hip-hop/electronic tracks over the last 15+ years.
Great stuff.
On the "illegal" side, I downloaded the new Beck album, and it's funkier than all motherfunking funk.

i loved it, it had a little of everything ... and with all the bootlegs that i bought in the 90s with outtakes and rarities, it was nice to hear 'new' things ...
i picked up the new soul asylum record ... it's a live record from some prom they played in 1997 ... and half the record is covers ...
