View Full Version : Can't remember the name of a band

I have a song from about 12 years ago stuck in my head and can't remember who sang it. It was a song named "Jess" they played pretty frequently because this band played the annual spring show down at the shore that they also played live on air.

If it helps, Black '47 was the main act of the show that day.

Big Thanx to Fallon.

Jimmy Fallon kissing Drew Barrymore -- on the field, on live TV -- right after the Red Sox won their first World Series in 86 years. In fact, they were shown in a closeup within 60 seconds of the final out. And every Red Sox fan is determined to pretend that this never happened, and that it didn't taint the moment even a little bit ... so it wasn't a huge deal.</center>

you got the hooch. you got the freshy-freshy. you got
the only sweetest thing in the world...

(lyrics are butchered, but you get the idea. i think they

I know it's been posted but, YES...you are lookin ' for Mr. Reality.

Check out their song called "My Guns". Easily the best harmonies ever recorded. And that includes CSNY and Queen and anyone else you can think of.

If you need 'em...I can send you the mp3's. I also have the HIGHWAY 9 record. (featuring many of the same dudes) It's a lot like Mr. Reality but, with more electric guitar and better overall production.

Hit me up on IM if you want the tunes.
AIM screen name is: puffysticker

Just let the damn thing happen then everyone could be happy about it But for now its all a big C tease.

Yeah, from the sample Kevin had, the sample sounded like the song, but it would have helped if they had the chorus (that's the part I remember)

fezident, I'll have to hit you up for the mp3 later when I'm home.

And of course MtheT not only knew who the band was, he knew the band...

Yeah, I kinda remembered it being a Jersey band, but wasn't sure enough to put it in the original post.

But I've got a new game... "Six Degrees of Mike's pictures." Can we figure out a celeb MikeTheTeach hasn't met and/or taken a picture with?

Its a trite, long list of celebs taken by this wannabe who lives with a camera by his side.

More importantly, I'd like to put faces to the names of some who post here, yet have never shown their visage.

Come on, Do It. Like Zappa said, who cares what you look like,as for the pretty people, there's more of us ugly mofo's out there anyway.

[color=purple]Okay, this is a long shot, but it fits your timeframe; is it "Jessie" by (I think) Jashua Kadison.

The chorus was:

Jessie paints a picture 'bout how it's gonna be,
by now I should know better, your dreams are never free.
But tell me all about our little trailer by the sea,
oh Jessie you can always sell any dream to me.
