Giant Brian doesn't believe in therapy and thinks it's a big waste of money.

I think Giant Brian is annoying on the air, and tries to hard to be funny and never is. But he may have a point with this therapy thing. I haven't heard the show but am about to listen.

I don't think is true 100% of the time, but therapy is a waste of money a lot of the time. There are a lot of people who could work things out for themselves. A good therapist would let those people know they could and only work with those who truely need help.

I guess I should listen to Brian's comments before posting this. I'll probably end up coming back and saying he had no point at all.

I love hearing peoples' reasoning on this sort of thing. My Immune System teacher gave a lecture yesterday on cancer and cancer therapy, and it turns out that the best way to go is Immune Therapy, but it's too much work, and there's too much money in the area of chemotherapy and radiation so doctors won't even bring it up to their patients. It was the most depressing lecture I've ever heard...

As someone who has been to therapy myself, and as someone who is a psychology major who hopes to one day be a counselor, I was really pissed off at Brian last night, although I have a friend just like that so I am a bit desensitized to it because I know that he's an ignorant asshole who should put his foot in his mouth.
Also, at some points Fezzie seemed really, really pissed at Brian.

I can't blame Brian for being cocky. Heck, he was part of WBZZ's Morning Buzz!

I always thought Ray "White Riot Wonderboy Bottoms Two Day" Wagner was a pretty weak heel. Part of whatever appeal he had was how inept he was playing the bad guy producer. A Wonderboy "work" always came across as phony, while his "shoots" were really uncomfortable. Technically speaking, he seemed less than competent.

In Brian's defense:

He's actually naturally funny
He can book a guest
He can write a decent gameshow
He can utilize Perrynoid in a productive way.
He does a killer Fred Rogers

His chief problem is that sometimes his head is so far up his ass, he can actually see his tiny heart.

The only part I disagree with is his guest-booking ability. He can book a guest for the bad guest segment, but not anybody of importance. I agree with SOME of what Brian is saying.
Some people need therapy but, not EVERYONE who goes to a therapist needs to be there.

Some people use their therapist as a crutch and any doctor will tell you that if you use a crutch for too long...the crutch itself becomes the problem. It eventually makes you weaker.

And, the reality is, a therapist makes money every time the patient comes back and there simply has to be some therapist that prey upon that. They want the money from the return visist MORE than they want their patient to feel better.
