Too Old for Chucks?

Do you think people should give up wearing Chucks at a certain age? Should they ever? Can men get away with wearing them longer?
This question only includes people NOT in bands. Band people can get away with it forever I think.

Curious because I'm hitting that age where I'm wondering how stupid I look. Wondering if I'm just imagining the amused stares from the young hip kids.

One of my proudest moments, this past Christmas, was buying my daughter her first pair of Chucks. She loves the color orange, is a basketball player, and is a cool chick. Though I had to suffer the pain of going to the mall to buy them, I got her a nice pair of orange Chucks. But damn... 30 bucks??? I used to get them at the Army Navy store (A&N) for about 10. I got her a Chuck Taylor gym bag, too.

Though my daughter will always be my baby, they weren't "baby chucks". She's 12 years old and has bigger feet than her mom. I must say, though... "BABY CHUCKS" would be a cool name for a band (many connotations available).
