I know I could probably google it but, what became of that dude? Was he able to rehabilitate? Did that force him to retire? Do you know the course of therapy (rebuild? replace? )

Im really not sure what happend to him but the f'd up part of that match is that they still finished it. The guy went to the top rope and did his finisher and pinned him after the injury.

During the main event of the 2001 WCW Pay-Per-View Sin, Sid slipped off the ropes and broke his leg so badly that, as of 2004, he is still walking with a cane and is therefore in semi-retirement. However, in July 2004, he worked a match for an independent promotion in Canada.

Theisman's was pretty bad...but i personally was more grossed out by Kendalls....

I mean the guy's entire foot almost fell off...it was at a 90 degree angle....

Wooooahhh... WOW...

I've seen body's torn in half on rotten.com and all sorts of disturbing sick shit that weren't as disturbing as that video. That is the worst looking injury I've ever seen. Watching that literally made me woozy.

What I don't understand is, how does that even HAPPEN? like... It's a LEG. it should be able to handle worse impacts than that. Like, typically if someone lands badly like that they sprain an ankle or break an ankle at worst. This dude's leg just snapped in half like it was made of particle wood. What the fuck?

In case you were wondering, he took a skate across one of the major arteries in the neck. That pool of blood got a lot bigger before he got help.

I knew I guy in the Army who suffered the exact same injury as Sid.
The compound fracture was a few inches lower and it, basically, his Army boot was the only thing keeping his foot attached to his leg. It was horrifying. His foot quickly became a soft bag of blood.
It's about 4 or 5 years later and he STILL uses a cane. He never fully recovered.
Seeing that Sid injury takes me right back to my Infantry buddy. UGH....THE SOUND!!! Wretch.

ps: while he was on the ground screaming and writhing...a clueless NCO was telling him to "stop crying and drink some water." Amazing.

It's all the steroids. For as strong as it makes the muscles, it also weakens the supporting areas (i.e. bones, ligaments, & tendons).
