Wanna Duck?

I have this nice full grown male Pekin duck (think Aflac duck) and I need to get rid of because our chicks are about to hatch and the duck may inadvertantly trample them. He eats cracked corn. He's totally tame and friendly and will come a-quackin' when you call his name "Kayla" (a story in and unto itself).

I am willing to bring Kayla a reasonable distance into Nassau or Suffolk Counties, but need to get rid of it within the next 2 weeks before the chick hatching.

<P>I brought the duck today to a farm where they had a hundered others like him along with sheep and geese and chickens.&nbsp; No one was around and I had the duck in the back of my car in a box.&nbsp; </P>
<P>I pulled up to the fence and before I attempted this, I did try and find someone who would accept it, but no one was there.&nbsp; He blended right it with the others and we watched him for a half hour as he mingled with his own kind for the first time in his life.&nbsp; It was kind of cool and I am reasonable sure that it will not be noticed, let alone any problem.</P>
