He kept trying to tell me how hungry he was and I had to try and ignore it. No food or water after midnight!
After a fitful 2 hour nap of twisted sheets and twisted guts it was time. As I stepped out of bed his shining eyes greeted me happily, thinking I was getting up to finally feed him.

No breakfast. Just the cold snap of a carrier door and off he goes to the land of hell.

Christ I hate this part about owning pets!

Tooth scrubbing. My last cat lost a few teeth so I thought I'd get this one started early on checkups. But it's like major surgery--they have to put them under anethesia and all this crap. $225 bucks total.
I just hate droping him off because he was a shelter cat and I'm always afraid he's going to think I abandoned him when he's locked in some foreign vet's cage.

Have you discussed this with him? I think that animals tend to simply react to the situation they are presented with and they dont draw any meaning from anything that happens when they are around.
