I got a job at a company last friday (start the 28th) Its for a good company and pays ok (not as much as I would like, but enough to be comfortable). Now before I heard if I got that job, I scheduled a job interview for another company for tomorrow. The two jobs are completely different, the job I got is for a Lease Coordinator, and the one I have an interview for is a Data Manager (no idea what it does from the description they told me).

The question I have is would you go to the interview tomorrow even though you have the job at the first place? Not sure how much the 2nd job pays, so it could be more or less or the same. What would you guys do? Thanks in advance for advice.

go on the second interview, you've got very little to lose ...

and if you're savy enough, you can play the two against each other and maybe get a little more for yourself ...

keep as many options open as you can ... at the very least you have the coordinator gig ...

I agree with the above post. You should def. go on the interview. You may see something you really like, it may have better benefits or pension plan. You never know.

Well Best of Luck. I have noticed that when I go into an interview knowing I already have a job, I am so much less nervous and do much better becuase my personality actually gets to come out. I answer the questions better and just have an overall better interview. Just relax and know you have something already in the bag, and good luck.

I'd definitely do the interview, it's worth a shot and it doesn't hurt none to see what the job is and what they're offering.

When I got my current job, I was working a crappy parttime job and looking to get fulltime again. My current company made me an offer and I gave 2 weeks notice to the pt job. During the two weeks, I took another interview that ended up also making me an offer.

I thanked the guy for the offer but told him I'd received a competing offer in the interim between the time I interviewed and the offer (a lie since I had the offer prior). It was much less money, but had it been comperable money, I would have been able to leverage more because I already had an offer to fall back on.
