Assuming that Billy Staples is indeed out of the running for head of the next bar crawl, who would you rather see lead the pack - The fun loving, up for anything Circus Boy? Or the stoic, staid, monotone Mr. Fabulous himself, Al Dukes?

Of course Circus Boy is better qualified to lead a bar crawl. But consider this... if you put Al "in charge":

#1. It would be good bit fodder for the show.

#2. You can have Circus Boy there to really lead anyway and frustrate and annoy Al Dukes when things don't go the way he plans.

#3. You have the opportunity to get Al Dukes in trouble, because "in charge" = "responsible for"

#4. Al is much, much funnier the drunker you get... or the drunker you get him, whichever comes first.

I'm not maligning Circus Boy's abilities in any way. If I were going to go bar hopping with a bunch of friends, I'd certainly pick Circus Boy over Al Dukes any day of the week and twice on Sundays. (Not because of personality, because to be fair I don't seriously dislike Al, but because he does tend to be a black hole of charisma... just kinda sucks all the enthusiasm right out of a room.) I'm just saying consider the many, many various possibilities Al Dukes in charge of a bar crawl could offer.

You don't need someone crazy to run a crazy bar crawl. All the person running the show has to do is coordinate the leaving of each bar, leading the pack from bar to bar, and calling in.

I say AJ runs the show and Lara Croft (Lisa) does all the calling in (with PanterA feeding her lines.) That's how it should be.

While I certainly agree that you don't need someone "crazy" to run a bar crawl, it does help. In any kind of "mob" event, the crowd tends to feed off of the leader.

I know for damn sure I'll have a good time no matter what, but it would be a lot easier if I was following someone as into it as I am.

CB... As much as the thought makes me cringe, I think it's pretty definite that Al's gonna lead it. He cut a cheesy promo for it and all. I think they want him to do it mostly cause they know he's going to screw it up and they want to have more ammo to tool on him about. The only good news is that if he bombs, they won't let him do it ever again. So let's just grin and bear it, and above all, have a good time. I have a feeling we will, regardless of the fact that we're being led by the Sultan of Suck.
