Highlight below to see.

Paul London wins the Cruiserweight Championship in a battle royal match for the title when he sends Billy Kidman out of the ring with a reverse head scissors after skinning the cat on the ropes from almost being eliminated by Kidman.

I say, it's about damn time.

This was like that tag title match they had on Raw. Tacked on to the show before WM because they have no room for them at the PPV. God knows they need the room for such future classics as Hemme/Stratus and a Sumo Match.

This could have been another Cruiserweight Classic match like Heyman instituted when he was GM. That could have been the start of another WrestleMania tradition.

But of course Vince would never give the Cruiserweights that pleasure.

Seriously...why must they insist on filling the PPVs with crap, instead of title defenses? That would have probably wound up being one of the better wrestling moments of the night, now it gets bumped to SmackDown & Rey will probably the only Cruiser to get any face time at 'Mania.

We can all bitch and moan about how WWE should be doing this with Cruiserweights, but let's face it. WCW and for a time ECW even though they just showcased them were the only organizations outside of Mexico and Japan promotions that treated Cruiserweights as equals, and it won't ever be different unfortunately. Ring of Honor and with TNA's X-Division are showcasing these wrestlers really well but they'll never get as big as WWE. Wrestling is going backwards to when people didn't take it as seriously as they did when it was big in the ninety's.
