How Come Low Posters Get Such Shit

It's not like a lot of of us are stupider than those that have posted a hundred million times. Maybe we've listened as long, and have appreciated inside jokes as long, but just haven't been the ballsy posters as so many of you are. Maybe we realize our shortcomings. I can appreciate a carefully crafted or an off-the cuff joke as much as anyone. But that doesn't mean I can come up with my own, as much as I'd like to. You should give credit to us lurkers knowing our shortcomings and not forcing our embarassingly bad posts on everyone else. Leave us alone to once in a while pipe up on a topic intrigiging enough to break our silence, but not enough to become a regular poster up for ridicule. For christ's sakes!

<P>To a degree, that's very true, and it sucks.&nbsp; But at the same time, like Hosp said, that ones that get the most REAL shit thrown at them are the ones that show up and start attacking older members right off the bat.&nbsp; Even though it's a message board, most people wait to bust each other's balls after they've "known" for a little while.&nbsp; If you met someone in the real world for the first time, you wouldn't immediately start ribbing them (Huddelah!) by taking shots at them, even if it is meant in good humor.
<P>And yeah, a lot of people here just plain old don't like each other, and they're not the nest example.&nbsp; And a lot of us are just actually assholes, and that's not great either.
<P>I guess in the end, a lot of new posters make too big a deal about trying to "fit in" right away, and too many old posters make too big deal about new posters being new.&nbsp; It's just a message board, dammit!&nbsp; It's not that important at the end of the day...everyone breathe...</P>

It's been about a core group of 20-30 people who have been posting on
and off for the past 3 years, and when someone new actually decides to
sign up and start posting, first, he or she is looked upon with

then, a thorough assessment of their humorous value and witty yet
intelligent responses.&nbsp; Most of the time, people burst within
their first thread posted.&nbsp; Thus, only about 2-3 people are added
