I hope if dogs ever take over the world and they choose a king, they don't just go by size, because I bet there are some Dachshunds with some good ideas.

I guess the chinese police department have yet to discover the wonders
of DNA and forensic dentistry...they really kinda help a little bit in
identifying a body...
Makes me long for the good old days of Communism, when a beating would always turn a conviction.

is that double jepordy thing really true? there is no way that is legal. I know you can not be tried twice for the same crime, but there would be new evidence. Thats like saying if you get cought smoking a joint, and do time for it that you can't be tried for it again

Attempting to kill her now would be an entirely different crime so
double jeapordy isn't involved. He just couldn't be tried for that
earlier instance again. It would be like being tried for assault, going
to jail and then getting out and doing it again to the exact same
person. You don't get a free pass for that one crime for the rest of
your life. Different crime, no double jeapordy.

The situation in that movie wouldn't happen either. Two different crimes, even though the first one was trumped up.

P.S. Does China even have double jeapordy?
Ironically, this case does show that China has made some SMALL amount of progress in human rights. Had this happened back in the day, say during the Cultural Revolution, Mr. She would have gotten a bullet in the back of the head for making the people's government look bad by getting wrongly convicted of a crime that hadn't been committed, making him a traitor.

Chairman Mao wasn't gonna put up with that kind of shit, no sir. ;)
