I agree.  The whole waiting on line "thing" is just retarded.I go to the theater 60 mins in advance and I get right in.  No probs.  A movie like that is playing on SO many screens at SO many octo-plexes that you'll get a seat without any trouble no matter what time you get there.  God Damn....I hope Triumph goes back to tool on those fanboys.

Seven weeks before its release, "Star Wars" fanatics started lining up outside Grauman's Chinese Theater for the sixth installment of the popular George Lucas movie series. The vigil began Saturday.What the fuck! these motherfuckin pricks piss me off. im sure theyre gettin in the way of people that want to go and watch a movie thats already out. what the fuck is this vigil that article was talkin bout? and lastly y would people wait that long fer a movie thats gonna suck judging by the last 3 that already came out.

Vigil = VagrancyWon't even go see this till the second weekend at the earliest.  Don't want to deal with all these people, most will also probably be dressed in full Star Wars costume.  Jeez.Can't wait to see two full grown fatguys having a fake light saber fight outside the theatre.  Parents must be proud.

Grauman's Chinese isn't showing Star Wars? I thought they always play Star Wars there, don't they always show footage of the lines in 1977 when Blockbusters just started! (I think Jaws was the first)Why would you wait this far in advance? There's Fandango! I'll be there Midnight May 19th but I'm sleeping in my bed for the next 40+ days and not standing in line for days/weeks!

I went to Ep1 for the midnight showing.  For Ep2 and 3, I'll
took/will take the day off, catch a 10am showing, then go hang out iwht
my friends.  Besides, online ticket sales are so much more
prefereable to sitting with those dorks for a month or two.  Best
part about the dorks outside Grauman's is that they refuse to move to
the Aztec and are on messagebaords trying to think of was to blackmail
Grauman's into showing the movie.

I'm not sure what the big deal is - yeah, it's funny that people want to wait in line, and it's god damn hysterical that they are in the wrong one, but ultimately who cares as long as they aren't hurting or littering or any of that. I went to Episode I's mignight opening at a local theater in Virginia, after the show I drove down to the Uptown(The first showing sometime that morning like 10:00 am) and laughed really hard at the line up of people there and told them Darth Maul was really Obi Wan's father.

I'm pretty sure he meant 4 weeks after it opens.I'm with Moe.  I'm not too worried about hearing "spoilers", or not being able to discuss immediately on here or by the water cooler, and in fact many times I've been spared the torture and cost of sitting through an overrated, overhyped crap movie just by waiting a week or two.And crowded movie theatres suck.  I'd really not have to share an armrest with anyone other than the person I went there with, and even then it'd better be one of my kids or the chick I'm trying to bang.  If it's just me and some buddies, we end up taking up half a row just from the empty seats left in between us.I still haven't seen episode II, so it's doubtful that I'll even see ep III until it's out on DVD.  My kids are just know enjoying the first trilogy, so unless I happen to be dating a hot nerdy chick next month, it's unlikely that I'll be seeing this one in the theatre.

The whole waiting in line thing is people desperate to be a part of
something that they think is history.  They see the footage of the
original film,  and the stories of people standing on line for
hours or waiting for days.  It's just sad Really. There's
only one group that I don't have a problem with, and they are raising
money for a charity while out there, so it's kind of for a better
cause.

As far as I know, the lines in all the major cities are raising money
for charity.  I really haven't been paying attention this year,
but I know they did 3 years ago.
