Most of you know my feelings on "goodbye" threads so I'll make this quick.I don't have anything bad to say about anyone on my staff. Unfortunately, we do not share the same vision for how things should operate around here. Let me say this, you have some really good people on your moderator staff. When they argue with me, they're doing it not for personal reasons, but for the good of the board...and I understand that...but I'm sick of fighting over it, and I think they are too.I've decided to step down and give complete control over to Bobby and JustJon. I will no longer have ANY affiliation with the board in a technical or administrative capacity. I do this because I realize the institution means more than the man. I met my wife through this board, proposed to her on the show its dedicated to. It's important that it continues to serve those purposes...bringing people together to enjoy the show and the people who support it. It's my own choice, nobody forced me to do this. I just feel if things continued as they were, it would most definately destroy the board.So there you have it. I will still continue to post, but as a member...as one of you. Don't make it bigger than what it is. The only reason I posted this is to inform you as to what happened to avoid any rumor or conjecture as to the what actually transpired.Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to create this great place for you guys. Okay.....but what about the backspace problem?  Just kidding Jeff. I think for all the critcisms you may have seen from people, you should also know that most people here love this place and the many positives of the board. For that I appreciate it and the many things you've brought here. Sorry you feel the way you do about the place, but I respect your decision. Best of luck.

Missy, take a fucking chill pill, will you? I'm not the biggest fan of Moe's, but I think he was kinda making a joke.  If Jeff didn't want this to be joked about, he could've put it in the Thats Life forum, no joking there. That being said, I'd like to thank Jeff for all his time and effort put in to making this site run.  And I TOO, would like to see the old way of posting put back.  I can't post from home anymore due to this, the new tools freeze up my computer.

Jeff. I appreciate everything you have done for this board. You and the other Mods have made it possible for us to Go some place and talk about shit and stuff. But unlike other boards. You and the other mods have maintained order and kept this board a friendly and good enviorment. And like Missy said You being up at 3 am shows great dedication. And i thank you for that. Jeff - thanks so much for all of the hours of hard work you've put into this board. Unbelievable dedication to Ron and Fez and their fans. You have earned a break!That aside, I will always have tremendous respect for the inititive you showed right as the Tsunami had hit - on the first day, just a simple link on the first page, but (looking back) it really was ahead of the curve and showed unconditional compassion, which is something you just don't see as much as you would like to anymore.Nothing but the best for you and your wife, and (again) thanks again for what you helped create and nurture here.

It's not just in this thread... it's been after practically every post Jeff's made regarding the board since Moe "came back" to the board.  It's old.  Jeff works hard and it pisses me off to see someone constantly snipe at him after I see him up coding at 3am for free.The fact that Jeff has chosen to be up coding at 3am is awesome for those of us that love this site.  However, don't miss out on a key word in that sentance.  He has 'chosen' to do this.  Let Jeff fight his own battles, this one doesn't even seem like it needed to be fought.  Moe can be a sarcastic pain in the balls, again, I'm not a big Moe fan, but you don't need to come running to Jeff's rescue, I'm sure he can manage fine on his own.

Thank you  to Jeff for the work he has done to make this board sucessful. When
Ron and Fez came on in NY, as ronandfez.com, the importance of the
internet was made known.  For all of us, rf.net became THE place
for everything regarding Ron and Fez. With Ron and
Fez being the most underrated, underused, and most underappreciated
radio talent in all of America, it is important to keep their fans
informed, active, and supportive of the show, and, unlike with Opie and
Anthony, I've never seen any sharp 360 turn by a portion of their
fans.  Ron and Fez are clearly the best out their, I think we all
believe that, and thus, rf.net is the best place to gather with Ron and
Fez fans.  Congratulations on your sucessful work, Jeff, and thank you for providing your time for the sake of us fellow internet losers.

First I want to say thank you to Jeff for everything he's done over the years. Jeff and I hardly agreed on much. We've both been passionate about the way we want things to be around here, and after we both cooled down, in the end he's always been fair. I want to apologize to Jeff for all the arguements we've been in over the many years. We both are thick skulled and want things the way we want them and it's lead to a bunch of petty rants in the staff room. Taking a step back I realize that maybe it's because of your passion for the board as much as it was mine. I also want to thank Jeff for giving me a Jon the chance to run things around here. We look forward to keeping this place a fun and friendly environment for everyone. We hope you all will give us a chance to prove that we care just as much for the board as you all do. Now with all that said I want address DMMoe. Over the years you've been here, we have let you speak your mind on many subjects. You've always been blunt and opinionated. You've caused problems and arguements, and yet you still are here. Your attitude is very up front and in your face, which is a quality I admire, but it causes conflict. We've had QUITE A FEW complaints about you from MANY long time and new members yet we've never asked you to change the person you are. We've never banned you because of it. Yet you insist on pointing out that we are allowing people to do as they please and straight out ban others. Hey Moe, you ever stop to read some of your very own posts? have to agree with that. When i get fired up about a topic, i say some
mean things, as do the people who i usually am argueing with. but the
mods know me, and see how i am, and know that 99.9% of the time, any
insult i lob isnt personal. usually its just me tryin to make things
funnier for the people not involved. but anyway, if i said most of what
i said and was serious, i woulda been banned a long time ago, same with
ALOT of other posters. I cant really sit here and complain about the
mods. ive heard alot of people complain about a banning or a thread
being locked or deleted, only to go look and see that it probably
should have. shit ive had my own threads deleted, and i dont care. if
its what i said, i re word things and post again, and if its the topic,
you leave it alone. Just because people post on the site doesnt mean
they are entitled to run the thing. Same with the new tool set. i still
prefer the old one, but have realized after about a minute that no
matter what i say, its not really gonna matter. plus id honestly have
to say, if you take away the minor complaints like i like it but fix
this, ive noticed more people for the tools then against them

also think some folks are being too hard on Moe. He's often posted
about being on a older/slow computer and/or shitty dial up connection.
The new tools must be very frustrating. I'm on a fairly new and

Jeff,  Thank you for creating and maintaining a board that I have grown to enjoy being on alot. Made alot of good friends on here and met some interesting people. Enjoyed the nights out and the games ect.It was a good place to come and vent/confess/share ideas/laugh/learn/ect. You have given more hours to this thing then I would care to venture.You put in alot of hard work.Thanks, I had a great time on here and I am sure will continue to do so.

Jeff, I can never thank you enough for playing a part in keeping Ron and Fez close to those of us who lost them at WNEW.  Seriously, I was going through an incredibly difficult period in my life then, and I quite literally don't know what I would have done without Ron and Fez or the community around it.  You were an essential cog, along with Steels and Whatley radio and many other people too numerous to mention, to selfless to promote themselves and too important to miss reached out through and personally helped me.  I doubt I'm alone.  IF YOU EVER QUESTION YOUR PLACE IN LIFE, REMEMBER, IN THIS PLACE, IN THIS TIME, YOU MADE A DIFFERENCE.  Things have since gotten better for me, and the buddays arent the crutch they once were, but when I needed this place and them, you were so huge in making it happen.  I'll say it simply, but it hardly says enough, but hopefully the volume of responses will drive it home--Jeff, Thank You.  All the best in your next move, and don't be a stranger, I feel like it's little exaggeration to say here, we are family.  RF.net 4 LIfe!
