Airport security still stinks-Spankings for FURIE!

The Government Accountability Office &mdash; the investigative arm of Congress &mdash; and the Homeland Security Department's inspector general are expected to soon release their findings on the performance of Transportation Security Administration screeners. </font></p><p>Private sector sucked, public sector sucks too. Which one would be easiest to get to perform properly? I think these guys are like the police, which I wouldn't want to be privately operated. Private prisons certainly turned out to suck ass. Only think I can think of, if this report is accurate, is for the public to put pressure on Congress to pull their dicks out of each others' asses and fix this shit. Odelay! </p>

<p>Hey, I'm an inspector, not a screener. I make sure the airport
itself keeps up security (proper number of officer on duty, no breaks
in fence line things like that) same with the airlines. Oh, and I test
the screeners just like i do the other airport entities. I'm one of the
ones who have showed that the TSA is a failure.</p><p>I don't mind that TSA didn't pan out; they had to try.</p>

I'd favor a heavily regulated private system. I dont trust the airlines
to have the right incentives. And most of the businesses the Feds get
involved in become overpriced, ineffective monstrosities. And for good
reason. Political systems run on who's in power, who their friends are,
and who has access. NOne of which has anything to do with running a
security business. Private, but keep a close eye on them. <br />

was the original plan. The FAA would administer Federal Screening
Managers who would over see the private operation, rather than the
airline's ground security coordinator. But congress pushed for the
federal screening stating that federal screeners would help regain the
public's confidance in flying quicker. perhaps they were right in
theory, but what they ended up creating was what some have called a
&quot;Soviet Style Workforce&quot;.
