Why isn't the Messageboard Forum display behind? [Archive]

I'm talking about the screen you get when you hit the button in the upper left hand corner that says THE MESSAGE BOARD on it.  This one<img height="32" src="http://www.ronfez.net/images/template/rollover/ronfez_over6x1.gif" width="146" border="0" />It takes a couple of minutes for this screen to register new responses to threads.  I guess it's not that big a deal.  Not as big a deal as this backspace issue, just another one.  If Jeff was the programmer, who will tackle this shit?

Oh Jesus.  I meantWHY IS THE MESSAGEBOARD FORUM DISPLAY BEHIND?I wasnted to say "Why isnt the messageboard forum in real time anymore?" but it wouldn't fit, and I forgot to edit the beginning.  Very gay of me. And why do I see all my typed text on a gray background now?

I've noticed the lag thing.  There's always been a small lag, but now it's pretty long -- around 10 minutes sometimes.  It's not to bad for me, because I use <a href="http://www.ronfez.net/messageboard/todaytopics.cfm" target="_self">Today's Active Discussions</a>.Is gray the new black, Moe?

I'd do that funny thing where I'd say "I'm Not A Post Whore" where each word was it's own post, but the load times are so rediculous now that I'd have 3 people in between everyone of my words, and it would look foolish.

means that sometimes the screen that you go to by clicking on "The
Message Board" at the left takes a while to update, and what it states
is the latest thread to be posted in for each forum may not be
accurate.  More of a nuisance than a major issue, but it's there.

the delay was originally created to decrease the load on our servers.   all
complaints/requests are being noted, but things are still being
transitioned.  Things were just handed over and we need time to
familiarize with the system before we can make any changes. 
nothing is just going to change overnight.
