I was wondering what some people considered the best movies broken down by decade. For my list goes a lil something like this:1950's- Bridge On the River Kwai1960's- Great Escape1970's- Deer Hunter1980's- Raging Bull1990's- Shawshank Redemption2000's (thus far)- Memento

1940's Citizen Kane 1970's The Godfather: Part II 1990's Pulp Ficiton2000's I'd like to say one of the Lord of the Rings Movies, but I'd like them to sit on the shelf for a bit and I don't like to choose just one of them, so I'll stick with Memento for that decade. Cartoon?  I didn't know that there was a movie from each decade with that long a title and slashes in it.

I think we need to hold off on the 2000s movies until we finish the decade (I guess Jan 2010) and maybe have a bit of time to let the movies sit on our minds before jumping on a movie that just came out.
