YEAH, I know, big deal!I was in the hospital and I just couldn't take care of Annie the way the way she deserved. My best friend found a good home for her. She'll be happy there.I get sad when i think of how she'd fall asleep with her head on my shoulder. Her stinky "corn chip" feet. How she'd "squeak" when she'd sleep. I get teary everytime I think how she'd kiss my face when I'd cry.They're I go again...

I'm so sorry to hear that.  It is a big deal.  I don't think non-pet people can truly understand the bond between a person and their bit.  I know it's tough because she's not with you, but take some aolace in the fact that she's alive and being taken care of well.

There are few things sadder than parting ways with a pup.  I've done so twice in the past 1½ or so...so my heart goes out to you.  And I'm glad to hear I wasn't alone in the snack-food phenomenon.  We used to say Cabo had Cheese Doodle breath & Dori-toes.  I knew it was corny as hell, but you can't help but be silly around a cute pup.

I had a cat that my father made me get rid of that I used to keep at our yarn factory, and she had this problem (that I didnt realise was fleas) where she would pull her hair out in huge clumps.  When I found out it was fleas and I gave her flea baths, my father told me either the cat had to go or I had to bring it home and I couldnt.  So I put an ad in the pennysaver asking for someone to adopt her.  I liked the cat, but I didnt find her to be all that social with me and when I put in the ad, I promised a years worth of food, dishes and videos and books and pan liners and everything.  A woman called and wanted to see her and she came and checked her out and decided to take her on the spot.  I wasnt expecting it and as she drove away with her, I broke down and didnt realise how much it would effect me. But it ended up being for the best for the cat and it did liberate me a lot, because I could go away and I didnt have to worry about her anymore.  The woman obviously loved cats and I am sure that she ended up in a far better place than a factory.  I know how hard it can be, but I found out that sometimes the animal is better off in a different place, and while I am sure it hurts you, just keep picturing the dog in better place and happy and it will hurt less.  Plus, you dont have to go walking it in the rain like tonight!  Sometimes the most hardest things turn out to be the best thing for you! Tonight's the kind of night that makes me miss my pup, Annie. She loved the park outside my house. Last night I cried because I missed her so. She would have wagged her tail and "kissed" me until I laughed. But then I realized i wouldn't have cried if she had been there. My cats are duds.
