I went to the Jim Norton HBO special taping last night, it was amazing. Norton absolutely killed. I've seen him previously and it was great, though this had to be the best performance I ever saw him give. Plus the fans in the audience were great, we all thunderously applauded him and gave him all the props he deserved. I didn't see too many board members there except for FM Jeff, and Missy. I did see Pat from Moonachie from the O&A fan base, and pretty much everyone from the O&A show, and Black Earl. The first comic Kevin Brennan was very good too, though Norton owned the night. My hands were actually stinging from clapping so much. **Bravo Jimmy!**

I was there, it was a great show and the crowd was wired all night. I was up near the front, and I only saw 3 people I recognized.  None of which were mentioned yet.

i think norton is awesome but i lost a little bit of respect for him when i saw him in the vegas ariport sipping starbucks with his leather jacketed ny/nj homies.  they had just come off the plane.  my dreams were shattered.

I was up near the front, and I only saw 3 people I recognized.  None of which were mentioned yet. Which show?  We were in the 3rd row center but we went to the early show.

I was at the early show and both comics were fantastic.  This was the first time in a while I got to hear lil jimmy in a while (no XM yet).  I was up in the balcony and could hear the show perfectly (I've been to events like this and the audio sucked ince you got past the 5th row).  I also thought the emcee was good too in getting the crowd ready overall a great show, and I suggest you (like me) email Jimmy to let him know how well he did

In case you haven't seen it, Jimmy posted this on another message board...It has been a long road for me to get to this point. The business has never really embraced 'my brand of humor' until they were forced to by the show of strength from the fans. Tonight was as much your night as it was mine and I mean that. Thank you all so much for coming and supporting me. I loved both shows and both crowds were amazing. I am very drained so I won't write much, will talk about the experience tomorrow on the show. Of course O&A were there, the night would not have meant as much to me if they weren't. Since I am tired and lazy right now, I am posting this message on Cringe and Wackbag. It was both sites that helped fill that West Side Theater show a year and a half ago that got the ball rolling for HBO in the first place. I can't thank all of you enough, and I hope you understand that I don't take your loyalty for granted. jim

After the late show he was in front of the theater and he took off his
shoe to show his missing toe.  All of the whackbag people seemed
imprtessed.

This can't be said enough... the crowd was fuckin' fantastic!I've never seen a more responsive or supportive audience. Rock stars don't enjoy that kinda enthisiasm. I've seen him a bunch of times now, and while I've never thought he was the greatest of stand-ups - technically speaking - I love that he's so uncompromising, and his facial expressions are priceless. He's been so great on O&A since their return, I was really happy for him last night. For me, the best bit was that Terris Schiavo chunk. I really hope it makes the special.
