I know as members of this board, most of our lives are shrouded in secrecy, guilt, and shame. But what is your proudest accomplishment?

I managed to finish college with with no financial help from my family. I also bought my own apartment. And, most recently, I drove the southern part of Ireland by myself. I many not be some famous rock star, but I'm most proud of the fact that I wanted to play music, and I did. I learned the drums and made a CD when I wanted to. When we wanted to play shows, we got them. We played out of state. We drove all the way to Alabama for one fucking show for Christ sake. OK, that wasn't too smart, but I'm just proud of the fact that I did these things.

Just thought I'd add this. I found out today, that my daughter broke her middle school record in the 400 in track. I can't believe she was here all weekend and didn't tell me! I guess I can be proud that she's modest, too. I don't know her time yet, and the school is only a few years old, but I'm proud nonetheless.

I'm very proud of the fact that my baby, Skittles, is still alive and just as cute as ever, and that I didn't give up on her. She went into kidney failure in January, and everyone, including the vet, did not expect her to make it through that week and thought I should put her to sleep. I have to give her daily injections, but she's gained all her weight and strength back, and I swear, you could not tell that she is as sick as she is. She runs around just like she used to. My little freak of nature.

I'm also proud that I'm starting to take control of my life and pursue things that will make me happy. I enrolled in Massage Theray school and should be certified this time next year.

Honestly the thing Im proud of is that everything I've done/earned I've done without anyones help. I never borrowed money from friends/relatives. I have paid some major dues to gte to where I am as a sinle guy owning his own place (granted its only a two bedroom condo) and having somewhat good schooling and job- I have earned on my own terms.

I didnt exactly grow up well to do and CT there arent manyy that do- we live off the borrowed dime/credit. I refused to do that. I earned my keep.
...and now I can chase my dream career as opposed to having a "job"

If I had kids I would be super proud too- I have yet to have that pride but I'm sure once it happens to me it will be all I live for.
