so tonight i start my computer and i get a message that my version of xp pro must be activated.  then my comp logs off, not allowing me to do anything.  the version isn't so kosher, so how do i get around this w/o reinstalling it?  please help me soon!!!everything should be backed up on my external but i have work to do.

I'm not sure what you mean by "not so kosher", but I hope it doesn't mean you bought it for 100 bucks on Ebay. That's how I got mine a little over a year ago. It could be that Microsoft has found a way to crack down on OS's that were obtained in ways that they don't approve of.Last I heard, though they didn't like they way I got mine, there was no legal recourse for them to void it. Good luck M1, and please wish me luck, too.

tried to start in safe mode, keyboard failure. shit fuck shit.  damn you bill gates. and
fuck osx, panther, tiger, simese cat, or whatever the fuck mr jobs is
calling it this week.  and you suckers pay for each upgrade. ty hbox. at least i'm not the only 1. please let their be a patch soon.

Looks like you are screwed. Windows XP has always needed to be
activated and it looks like you finally got busted. There is no
way to unlock it unless you call up Microsoft and they give you a
key. It's a built in anti-piracy measure that seems to have
caught you. Should have thought about that before you put on a 'not so kosher' version of Windows XP.Did you end up cracking it back open or what?
