So did anyone go to the Rolling Stones announcement today at Lincoln Center.   Guess they are having a new tour and album coming out this summer.

They never said they broke up.  I saw them last time around, and old rockers that you might be embarrassed to see up there on stage nonetheless, they rocked Madison Square Garden.  Unbelievable show and I thought they were better than the Steel Wheels and the tour after that, which name escapes me.

40 U.S. cities starting with Boston in August. Taking a break around the holidays and finishing in February 2006, before they start around the world. Playing all sizes of venues, from clubs to stadiums, just not all in the same cities like they did before. Mick Wyman is still playing small clubs asking himself "and I quit the band for what reason".I don't think the stones ever retired or had a final tour.   Mick said today that he does not like the idea of calling them the final tour.  They will keep playing until they are sick of it. The tour after steel wheels was Voodoo Lounge.

Channel 4 news in DC said this today...60 bucks for nose bleed80 or 90 for mid level (something like that, I can't really remember)160 for tickets up front.Damn... They're scalping their own tickets!!!

So has anyone gone to any of the shows on this tour?  I just won a pair of tickets yesterday and was wondering how the shows were doing.  It is pretty cool stage set up with seats set up in the back drop.  I am not sure where my tickets are but I think they are in a sky box and it is being sponsored by Miller Lite so hopefully some free beer will be included in the hospitatlity area.

I worked on the local crew here in Toronto for The Stones show a few days ago.  It is, literally, the biggest indoor stage ever constructed.  I was standing behind it while the show was going on, and it seriously looked like an indoor city.  It totally reminded me of Zion.The band was okay, I guess.  I hate their music but, the crowd was going apeshit the entire time so, I guess they were good.
